- At the centre, the Cross, planted on the world.
The beloved Son of the Father came down and became solidary with humanity.
Elevated on the Cross, He travelled his upward path,
opening the doors to all his brothers and sisters.
The Cross remains planted on our earth until the end of time:
with its great arms it embraces the whole of humanity.

- Above, the Spirit hovers over the universe:
in the beginning He hovered over the waters of the first creation,
today He is a powerful and silent presence
so that the new creation may take form and arrive at the fullness of Christ.
Nothing without the Spirit!
Francis invited his brothers and sisters to desire above all to have the Spirit of the Lord.

- Below, two hands follow the movement of the arms of the Cross:
whands open to the Presence, hands which intercede;
whands in solidarity with the suffering of the world;
whands which serve;
whands marked by the stigmata of conformity to Christ:
like Francis who allowed himself to be swept along by the dynamic of the kenosis of Christ;
whands… : ours

The hands are opposite the Spirit: it is He who works through us; it is He who forms us in the image of the Son and enables us to enter into his path of kenosis and of resurrection.
- The cross goes beyond the circle.
It enters into the life of the Father: the living God who envelopes the universe with his presence and gives it life.

For the coloured edition:

Red : the world of God
wthe big circle: God the Father envelopes the universe like a maternal womb which gives life;
wthe cross: by the cross, the Son of God descended and went back up to the Father;
wthe stigmata: conformity to Christ makes one a child of God.

Blue: the world of humanity
wthe shadow of the cross: the Son of God became man and remains always with humanity, in solidarity with it.

White: the glory of God
wthe dove: the Spirit makes the face of God luminous for humanity;
wthe hands: transparent to the action of the Spirit,
they are transformed from meeting to meeting;
docile to his breath, they become an instrument of his work in the world.
