We have
reached the
end of this
two month
journey and
the sisters
are saying
an emotional
goodbye… and
look forward
to the
joyous
return to
their
respective
provinces.
This morning
we gather
again in the
Sala Pia to
hear and
vote on the
final
document.
In the
afternoon
there is the
vote to
close the
Chapter,
followed by
a word from
Sr. Sue,
Superior
General.
There is
nothing left
but to sign
the Acts of
the
Chapter.
At 5:30 pm
we celebrate
the end of
the Chapter
with the
Eucharist
concelebrated
by Fr.
Ambrose
Nguyen, ofm,
General
Definitor
and Fr.
Gilles
Bourdeau ofm,
moderator.
A festive
meal gathers
us once more
in the
dining room,
in close
quarters,
amidst much
joy and
laughter.
Now, we say
goodbye,
Starting
tomorrow,
the sisters
leave for
their
country,
community,
fmm mission
among their
people whom
they serve
with much
love. We
will always
hold in our
hearts the
living
sentiment of
solidarity,
participation,
cultural
diversity,
dialogue and
above all
the living
and real
certainty of
the presence
of the Holy
Spirit among
us, the
Spirit who
continues to
guide us at
every
moment.
For all of us, the result of this precious and rich experience, is
the
commitment
we have
taken for
the next six
years and
expressed in
the final
document
Finally we
wish to give
our thanks
to all who
have visited
the “ home
page web”
each day and
have prayed
for the good
of the
Chapter. We
continue to
be united in
the Lord
Jesus
Christ!
