In her greeting, Sr.
Sue wishes a happy
birthday to Sr.
Christine Verhoeven
(Krista), delegate
of Belgium, Faroe
Islands, Low
countries, and in
anticipation of
tomorrow which is a
free day, greetings
also to all those
named Pilar, since
it is the feast of
O.L. Pilar in
Spain, and O.L.
Aparecida in
Brazil.
Fr. Gilles, ofm,
recalls the long
journey taken to
this point during
which we studied and
reflected on the
second objective of
the Chapter, making
reference to all the
documents, sharings
and exchanges, and
explained clearly
the next stage, a
turning point for
us.
For 6 or 7 days we
change the
perspective: from
now on we orient
ourselves toward “a
common spiritual
reference for the
life and mission of
the Institute”, ”towards
a vision and
direction for the
future”, “and the
“orientations,
priorities, and
lines of action for
2008-2014”.
Thanks to a glossary
prepared by the
moderating team,
where we find the
definitions of the
words: spiritual
reference, vision/orientations,
priorities and
lines of action, Fr.
Gilles sets us out
on today’s work.
Each sister is to
listen with her
heart and conscience
to all she has
experienced during
the Chapter. Later
this morning the
groups meet and
share the results. A
succinct report
presents the
elements and
motivations of the
spiritual reference
which has a group
consensus.
In the afternoon,
the Assembly meets
to listen to the
heart of all the
Chapter members. The
discussion is more
contemplative than
discursive.
In the evening the
province of Mexico,
Nicaragua, Cuba,
show a video on
Cuba. |
