2008
Last evening, in
the Trinity
Chapel, the
Spanish language
group celebrated
Mexican
Independence day
with joy. Happy
feast, Sisters!
Today, on the
feast of the
Stigmata of St.
Francis, during
the Eucharistic
Liturgy, Sr.
Maria del Carmen
Urbano
celebrated her
golden jubilee
in the presence
of her sister
and
brother-in-law
who came from
Spain. We also
thanked God for
the fidelity of
all who
celebrate their
25th
or 50th
jubilee this
year.
The “Paschal
Triduum” which
we lived was an
introduction to
the second
objective, in
which we enter
deeply into the
theme of our
Chapter, to:
-
Choose
a common
spiritual
reference
for the life
and mission
of the
Institute.
-
Define the
vision and
the
direction of
the
Institute
for the
future,
seeking a
deep
transformation.
-
Fix
priorities
and lines of
action for
the next 6
years.
The two
moderators, Srs.
Helen and Lydia,
recalled the
long time of
preparation of
the Chapter,
done by all the
provinces and
composed of 5
parts. As well
as the working
paper, the
Capitulars have
the report of
Sr. Christiane
and the
evaluation of
the first
objective. They
must study them
personally and
then share their
reflections and
their insights
in small groups.
In the
afternoon,
another
important
instrument of
work is given in
the meaningful
conference of
Sr. Anne Marie
Foujols on “The
Kenosis lived by
Mary of the
Passion in the
Franciscan Way”.
This is followed
by
clarifications,
personal
reflections and
spontaneous
exchanges in the
General
Assembly. |
