Sunday,
September 14,
2008
The weatherman
announced a
storm, but in
spite of a sad
and cloudy sky,
we are on the
terrace at
Grottaferrata to
celebrate Lauds
of the
Resurrection,
for today is our
“Easter Sunday!”
The whole day
invites us to
new life!
We pray for the
Church that she
can proclaim to
today’s world,
with force and
conviction, the
joy of the
Lord’s
Resurrection;
for all those
who have lost
hope, who are
seeking and in
their life have
yet to meet the
Living God.
After prayer, we
wish each other a
joyful “Happy
Easter,” “or
Christ has
risen,
alleluia!”
Afterward, like
Mary Magdalene we
are invited to
visit the empty
tomb and
announce the
good news to the
whole world.
During the
Eucharist, we
proclaim “ our
Creed”, which we
wish to be the
creed of our
hope, a Creed
born of what we
have lived, the
creed of the new
life Jesus
offers us so we
in turn can
offer it to our
brothers and
sisters.
During the
Doxology,
with the
gestures of the
“Arathi” we
acknowledge the
Risen Jesus, who
is now present
among us, and we
proclaim that
“He is Lord, to
the glory of God
the Father.”
