Another day of recollection and
silence on this “Holy
Saturday”, when we meditate on
the theme “…He descended into
hell…"
In our prayer we heard the
beautiful letter of St. Peter
3,18-4,6:
“For Christ also suffered for
sins once for all, the righteous
for the unrighteous, in order to
bring you to God. He was put to
death in the flesh, but made
alive in the spirit … For this is
the reason the gospel was
proclaimed even to the dead, so
that, though they had been
judged in the flesh as everyone
is judged, they might live in
the spirit as God does.”
In two rich and profound
meditations, Brother Gilles
Bourdeau
ofm, explained the
theological aspect and
missionary and contemplative
implications of this descent
into hell and the miracle of the
Resurrection.
During the evening prayer
vigil, testimonies of our
Sisters about the war and
violence in Pakistan, Angola and
Sri Lanka were read to tell us
just how far love can go. |
