Sr. Christiane presents in its
entirety, an authentic and
realistic report, based on our
formula of vows entitled: "In the
following of Christ…"
which is
composed of 8 parts:
Introduction
1. Following Christ in the Spirit
2. I, Sister…
3. I give myself unreservedly to the
Father, after the example
of Mary
and Francis
4. I offer my life for the Church
and the salvation of the world
5. I dedicate myself to Eucharistic
Adoration, and to the evangelization
of peoples
6. I commit myself to live a
fraternal life in common
7. I make vows of poverty, obedience
and chastity for ever in accordance
with the Constitutions of the
Institute of the Franciscan
Missionaries
of Mary
8. I ask the grace to be faithful
unto death.
Then she reads simply the
conclusion of her report “I ask the
grace to be faithful unto death”, in inviting us to a more authentic
and real witness, personal and
communitarian, even more since: "On
all continents, the laity,
neighbors, friends, former pupils,
benefactors, collaborators in our
institutions, ask us to share with
them our charism, our values, that
which makes us live our spirituality
and that of Mary of the Passion…"
Sr. Christiane challenges us in
posing these questions: "This
Chapter, will it be an invitation to
us to minority, to the discovery of
who we are in truth, in the image of
Mary? Will it be for us a choice to
live conformed to the weakness of
Christ, to his humanity?"
Then, clarifications are asked and
answered as a beginning dialogue.
Group work begins in the afternoon,
with the sisters reflecting on what
they consider the most important
challenges for the life and mission
of the Institute. They will choose
a major one and share it in the
assembly, giving motivations for
their choices.
Our day ends with the celebration of
Vespers and Eucharist in the Sala
Pia.
