This morning, during the Eucharist,
we brought Sister Lolita Baysa (Filippino
at the Documentation Service) to our
prayer, remembering her birthday:
“Ad multos annos”, Lolita!
The assembly prays to Mary, asking
her to guide us in our work on the
evaluation of the Statistics. We
reach the end of the first week and
Sr. Silvana Gerosa (moderator)
resumes it and invites us not to
consider the statistics as daunting
or discouraging, but rather as a
bearer of life and hope.
First, Sr. Françoise Pécresse
(General Secretary) told us how much
she needed the collaboration of the
provinces in order to draw up the
numerous graphics and stay
up-to-date. She handed over to Sr.
Alma Broggi who juggles between the
office for Statistics and that of
the Archives.
The statistics speak to us of life,
allowing us to envisage the future
and to take certain decisions.
After a moment of very active
clarifications, the chapter members
take time for personal analysis of
the book of statistics and then go
to the eleven linguistic groups to
compare changes that have taken
place in the Institute with those of
the continents.
After the afternoon break, the
assembly comes together to listen to
the report of each group secretary
and this leads to a general
discussion. |
